Course Description

This webinar style (online, video-based) training course satisfies all four (4) mandatory hours of your annual Electrician Continuing Education (CE) requirement from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), and is based on the significant changes in the 2026 National Electrical Code®, as well as the 2024 NFPA 70E® – Electrical Safety in the Workplace and Texas Electrician Laws and Administrative Rules of the Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1305.

You will need to complete all three (3) parts of this course to receive credit for the class.

As the TDLR course provider (1034) we are required to use technology to ensure you actively watch the entire video content to receive credit by completing the required duration of the program. So, plan accordingly!

  • Active Attention Required: The system tracks your browser’s “focus” or “visibility state” to confirm you are present.
  • Progress Tracking: If you minimize the window, switch to another tab, or open a different application, the video will automatically pause.
  • Seamless Resumption: When you return your attention to the original browser page, the video will resume playing from the exact moment it stopped, preventing you from missing any content.
Upon conclusion of the webinar, at the end of Part 3 you will be provided an attendance verification code (“Control” number) and email address with instructions to send notice of completion at which time IEC will provide you a completion certificate and report your training hours to TDLR.

IEC member company employees can get $15 off this online course by using the specific promotional code MyIEC at checkout.

THIS COURSE MUST BE COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 5, 2026 TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THE CLASS!

A licensee may not receive CE credit for attending the same course (number) more than once.
